About the church
Who We Are
At our church, we are a community united by faith, dedicated to spreading love, understanding, and healing. We believe in the transformative power of compassion and the enduring strength of our shared human spirit. Our doors are open to all who seek guidance, support, and a sense of belonging in their spiritual journey.
Our Beliefs
We believe the Bible, including Old and New Testament, is the inspired word of the living God, inspired through His Holy Spirit. As such, we believe that the Word of God is unfailing, and is without error in its original writings. We believe that the Word of God is the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of mankind and the divine final authority for all areas of the Christian faith and life.
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, that He is coeternal and coequal with God the Father and God the Holy Spirit. We believe the Bible record of His virgin birth, sinless life, words, works, vicarious death, bodily resurrection and ascension, His present ministry of intercession at the right hand of God, and the promise of His personal return. Christ came into the world to provide salvation through faith in Him as Savior and Lord, and to restore mankind to fellowship with God.
We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God but fell, through disobedience, into sin, incurring both physical and spiritual death. All humanity inherits a sinful nature and is separated from a life with God. Salvation has been provided through the atoning works of the Lord Jesus Christ for all mankind, and those who repent and believe in Him are born again from above by the Holy Spirit, receive the gift of eternal life, and become the children of God.
We believe that the true church is composed of people who, through faith in Jesus Christ, have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are baptized by that Spirit into the body of Christ, of which He is the Head. We further believe that only those who are thus members of the true church shall be eligible for membership in the local church. We believe that the mission of the church is to advance the Kingdom of God by witnessing and worshiping.
We believe that God calls us to either of two patterns He has designed for us: celibate singleness or a faithful heterosexual marriage. We believe that marriage was instituted by God as a sacred and permanent covenant between a man and a woman for the purposes of companionship, enjoyment, completeness, fruitfulness, protection, and illustration of Christ's relationship with the Church. We believe that parents' chief responsibility is to raise their children to love and serve the Lord.
We believe in the bodily return of the Lord Jesus Christ to establish His kingdom and to judge the living and the dead. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the saved to the resurrection of life and eternity in heaven, and the lost to the resurrection of damnation and eternity in hell.
